Hobbyverse Account Deletion
Warning: Once your Account is deleted it cannot be recovered! The action is permanent!
How to Request
Option 1: Request via the App
From the App, open up the side panel via the button in the top left corner of the App and navigate to “Account”. Press the “Delete My Account” button and follow the instructions.
Option 2: Request via Email
Send an email to [email protected] with the subject “Delete Hobbyverse Account” from the address of the account that matches the Hobbyverse account that you want to delete.
What to Expect
If requesting via the App, your account and associated data should be immediately deleted. You should receive feedback that this has been successfully completed and you should be logged out of the app. If requesting via email, once your account deletion request is received your account and data will be deleted within 30 days. You will receive an email confirmation once the process is complete.
Data Deleted
Most data associated with your account will be deleted, including but not limited to:
- The account itself.
- Hobbies you subscribe to.
- Things you add to your Hobby Library, ex. Movies, Shows, Board Games, etc.
- Metadata you store about the things in your Library, like ratings, notes, and labels.
- Hobby Activities completed and any associated Photos you attach to them.
- Any progress, experience, items, and coins you have earned.
- Any friend associations you formed.
Data Retained
Some data may be retained after your Account is deleted:
- Usage and analytics data.
- Crash reports and error logs that are necessary for the continued operation of the Application.
- Any Things or Hobbies that you submitted to the Community that are now public to all the Hobbyverse.
- Backend server logs for actions taken by you.
- Any data may be retained in backups for up to 7 days after the deletion request is processed.
